THE INTERNATIONAL QUALIFICATION SYSTEM

The IIW Education, Training & Qualification System for Welding Personnel is the ONLY system that is recognized worldwide and also by ISO and CEN bodies.

Companies which seek certification according to ISO 3834 need to comply with personnel requirements.

    Welding association «KazWeld» can assist in training of international welding engineers, technologists, technicians, practitioners, welders as well as international welding inspectors with higher, specialized secondary and secondary education.

In cooperation with KazWeld, The Kazakhstan Welding Institute runs its activities. It was launched at the Department of welding production of Karaganda State Technical University and got the right from the International Institute of Welding (IIW) to carry out training activities according to international standards. Moreover, there are 10 training centers authorized according to IIW requirements (Approved Training Body – ATB) in six cities across the country (Astana, Karaganda, Aktau, Atyrau, Uralsk, Aktobe).

Training duration is 2 - 6 months. The main requirements for admission are to have a special technical education (for engineers, technologists and technicians) or secondary education (for workers and practitioners) and working experience of at least 3 years.

After successful completion of training, the participants receive IIW diplomas.
